We at Crestline are steadfast in our dedication to research and development,
safety and ergonomics, and innovation on every level.

CRESTCOAT TECHNOLOGY is the industry’s first exterior powder coat finish providing
superior corrosion resistance along with industrial strength durability properties,
which will significantly improve the longevity of your ambulance conversion.

CRESTCOAT TECHNOLOGY is a true breakthrough in coatings technology. It incorporates tighter process controls, significantly higher heat to bake the paint finish and completely eliminates the use of automotive body fillers typically found in the preparation for a liquid paint finish.

The use of body fillers leads to premature corrosion, so eliminating them altogether is a key to reducing the early onset of corrosion. Then, by coating our completed ambulance modules with high bake powder coated finish, we add a superior level of protection to that body both in corrosion resistance and durability.

The integrated design, build and patented powder coating system is exclusive to
Crestline – a name you can trust to provide world class safety and innovation.

THROUGH THE YEARS WE’VE INTRODUCED MANY ITEMS STEMMING FROM OUR THEORY OF
Safety Through Color
IN 2004 WE INTRODUCED
Driver Intention Lights

In order to increase a medics ability to use peripheral vision to increase the awareness of potential obstructions within their operating space, we use brightly colored components in our ambulances. Yellow handle bars are standard in all of our vehicles, with the option of yellow doorway strips, running boards, and overhead door padding. The padding itself minimizes the severity of potential injury while the bright color provides a subconscious reminder of the placement of the doorway’s edge.

Strategically placed reflectors have been a part of our model designs since 1998. More recently, we have added high visibility decals on the inside of the doors adding to the conspicuity of the entryway, because safety concerns don’t disappear when the vehicle stops.

A medics awareness of the drivers intentions can greatly improve their ability to determine appropriate timing for patient drug administration and assistance. As an extra measure of safety and as part of our commitment to providing your crews with appropriate decision making tools, we now offer the option of driver intention lights on all of our vehicles.

IN 2003 WE UNVEILED OUR
Prismatic High Visibility Decals and the EVCON Scoring System

After literally searching the world for answers and determining that extensive research was desperately needed, Crestline accepted the challenge, conducted the necessary research, and developed the EVCON scoring system. Our High Visibility Emergency Decal Package consolidates the four factors of conspicuity into one cohesive design. Using prismatic decaling material, and our calculated approach to the pattern and design, you can feel confident that your crews are as safe as possible. Be seen to be safe!

IN 1993 WE INTRODUCED OUR EXCLUSIVE
AeroBody and Roll Cage

Our all aluminum AeroBody design provides benefits in areas that the industry as a whole has chosen to ignore. The obvious benefits of an aerodynamic body include stability and maneuverability as well as fuel efficiency. We have taken yet another leap in innovation by integrating a roll cage into our design – the only true roll cage in the industry! It’s all aluminum construction contributes to better fuel efficiency, more available payload, as well as a natural resistance to atmospheric corrosion. Aluminum also possesses the best strength-to-weight ratio of any metal thus providing a more robust vehicle body.

IN 2000 WE INTRODUCED OUR
Squad Bench Safety Net

Our squad bench safety net is specifically designed to handle sudden stress. The materials, shape, stitching patterns and mounting mechanisms are designed to withstand extreme pressures and strains, and the mounting points are carefully chosen so as to incorporate the strength of the ambulance frame. To demonstrate just how serious we are about safety, our testing procedures involve 5000 lb pull tests!

IN 1997 WE INTRODUCED OUR
Larger Cab with Maximum Recess
AND IN 2006 WE ADDED
Adjustable Laptop Mounts

Recline as you wish! For the better part of a decade Crestline ambulances have had the deepest seat recess in the industry. Increased legroom as well as more reclining space allowing even the tallest medic to find comfort in our larger cabs! And now, the excess space between the seats has proven to be a very appropriate space to house our laptop mounting device with its pivoting platform.

IN 2003 WE INTRODUCED OUR INNOVATIVE
O2 to Go System

Our intent with this ergonomic portable oxygen system is to provide another tool useful for preventing avoidable injuries while increasing the speed with which medical assistance can be provided. Loading and unloading a large oxygen tank can be done with great ease via our secure ramp and tank carrier system.
